PERDANONZA-SUNDAY 11. OCTOBER 2026

Péz Regina is open from 9 am to 8 pm throughout the day.

Lunch and dinner are available by reservation only: beinvegni@pezregina.ch

The Marian procession in Lumbrein takes place on the second Sunday in October. It reflects on suffering and sharing in the suffering of others through the example of Mary and her Seven Sorrows.

The procession is led by a large banner depicting the Mater Dolorosa, Our Lady of Sorrows. At its centre is a boy known as “Geni” (Genius), dressed as Our Lady of Sorrows. Three girls carry cushions bearing instruments used in the crucifixion of Christ. Young women holding a skull and a rosary represent the three Marys who stood beneath the cross.

Other groups also take part, along with the celebrants and altar servers, the church choir and the local band.
